Laser Systems Bird's Eye ViewOur Laser Systems are based on innovative laser technologies such as Fiber Lasers and High Power UV Lasers. Fiber Lasers differ greatly from both Lamp Pumped and Diode Pumped lasers. Fiber Lasers use a telecommunication grade diodes to pump an optical fiber. Extremely compact and efficient, Fiber Lasers have superior beam quality and stability over Lamp Pumped and Diode Pumped system. This virtually maintenance-free laser is available only in IR (1060 – 1070 nm) wavelength at this time. The fiber laser is rated for an estimated well in excess 30,000 hours of operation and should be serviced by a field service technician as needed. Systems based on UV laser, exploit the unique design of Q-series laser sources, that incorporate intracavity harmonic generation. As a results this technology provides the highest power 355 nm laser systems with uncompromising stability and mode quality, from single shot operation to pulse repetition rate of up to 200 kHz. These lasers enable the tightest possible process tolerances for micromachining and other material processing applications. As far as laser beam scanning is concerned, in our systems the beam is directed on the sample via (in marking and micromachining applications as performed with GraFo, MarKo and Blitz product lines), ultra compact Scan Heads that are sealed against water and dust and deliver excellent dynamics, with working areas up to 290x290 mm2. When repeatability is needed, especially for long term high precision processes, the scan head is equipped with an internal sensor system, that allows the calibration of the position detectors of the galvanometer scanner, thus enabling submicrometer precise processes to be accomplished. An alternative approach, for process specific machine like the LMS product line, uses CCD cameras for alignment and precision stages to move the sample under the focused laser beam. Furthermore, the systems can be equipped with high precision Z axis and C axis, driven in coordination with the scan head, allowing the realization of deep engraving features and mark concave and convex surfaces.
