Spectrum Detector appointed as the new distributor for USA and Canada

Spectrum Detector has been appointed as the exclusive Sales and Marketing Agent for Laserpoint SRL in North America.

Lake Oswego, Oregon, December 29, 2009 - Spectrum Detector, Inc., a leading manufacturer of standard and custom detectors and instruments for optical power and energy measurement, has announced an agreement with Laserpoint SRL, a manufacturer of Laser Diagnostic Sensors and Instruments, to become their exclusive Marketing, Sales and Distribution Agent in the USA and Canada effective January 1, 2009.

"This is a powerful partnership and will be beneficial to both companies and our domestic customers. Between our two firms we have over 5 decades of experience designing and building laser sensors and solving difficult laser measurement problems" stated Don Dooley, President of Spectrum Detector.

"Laserpoint, SRL was established in 1989 and has developed the some of the worlds highest damage threshold Laser Power probes and many innovative laser diagnostic products over the years. Our Senior Staff will be able to provide expert technical and applications support for these products" ...says Mr. Dooley.

The two companies will exhibit their products together at the upcoming Photonics West Show in San Francisco, California in late January 2010.
